In what could be one of the most leaked phone releases in History “Probably to get some oomph out of the iPhone 6s release“ Google has announced the Nexus 5X and 6P smartphones running Android 6.0 marshmallow. The interesting spec is that for the first time in a Nexus device, the camera seems to be a primary focus with a lot of good specs including 120fps for the LG built Nexus 5X and up to 240fps for the Huawei Built Nexus 6P. This puts the 6P Phone in direct competition with the iPhone 6s for the top smartphone Slow Motion Spot.
While there is a lack of slow motion samples now for both phones they should be coming out in the next few days. How will they compete? We can’t really speculate as the sensor, lens and camera system on these Nexus Phones is entirely new and built for better performance than previous Nexus releases. The Camera had always been a sore spot of the line and this release seems to want to correct this from now on. It has the same Sensor and camera system on both phones but the processing core is different which is probably what limits the 5X to 120fps. That said it could be possible in the future to unlock 240fps on this camera with some clever hacking technique if the system can handle the data rates; but that could void your warranty.

HSC: The Nexus 5X is not what we would call a flagship device, it has competitive specs and a pretty good camera but most features are subdued and will not compete for the top spot at being the spec leader in the Android Phone ecosystem. That said it is a pretty good phone with Android Marshmallow installed. Be aware that Marshmallow will be rolling out next week for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices also so you do not need a new device in order to upgrade. Marshmallow should also roll out on flagship phones from other brands in the coming months. The Slow motion is capped at 120fps so this spec will be limited on this phone.

Front Camera
8 MP
1.4 μm pixels
f/2.4 aperture

HSC: The Nexus 6P is the clear winner for the spec conscious user, it has better everything but the phone is a lot larger. It is about the same size of the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The Camera bulge breaks with the aesthetics here but it does allow for what probably is an extra space for the massive battery. This is a Phone that should easily last 2 days of regular use before recharging.
As a Slow Motion device this is the Phone to get in the Nexus camp and while there are no samples yet; it will probably be competitive in the area. We’ll keep you posted on that.
It has better “than the Nexus 5X” processing, better screen resolution, better battery life, better graphics and while the camera is the same essentially it will differ in some capabilities by the chip inside.
USB Type-C:
USB Type-C or USB-C offers bi-directional plug which does away with the right side up or down mentality of previous connectors and offers faster charging speeds. Most phones will transition to Type-C in the coming months with the One Plus 2 phone already having it. Your accessories and chargers will have to be replaced as with every connector change and that is something technology advancement cannot avoid. Samsung flagship phones still offer Micro USB charging but that is expected to change soon.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
We are using a customized version of wordpress. Nothing too special with some paid plugins added to add functionality. Good day!
